STM-282 Satellite Earth Observation for Geohazard Risk Management
ESA and the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) jointly hosted the 2012 International Forum on Satellite Earth Observations for Geohazards in Santorini, Greece, with the goal of improving the application of satellite Earth Observation to geohazard risk management. Specific geohazards examined were: seismic hazards, volcanic hazards, landslide hazards, inactive mine hazards and coastal lowland subsidence hazards. Clear objectives were defined for each of the geohazard communities, and a vision was charted for strategies to achieve them. Read online
